(1.00 - 3.00)Independent study supervised by a faculty member. The course is intended for students who wish to study topics in chemistry not covered by the regular course offerings. One credit hour is equal to a minimum of four hours of work in the laboratory per week. Chem 399 may be taken for a maximum of 3 credits and may only be taken once. A maximum of eight credits from the combination of BIOL 398, BIOL 399, BIOL 499, CHEM 399 and CHEM 499 may be applied toward the 120 credits for graduation.
