A gateway course for students intending to declare the BFA Acting Major. Exercises that focus on breathing, releasing muscular tension throughout the body, and finding the organic connection between feeling and sound production expand the vocal range, power and imagination of the actor. Students learn the rudiments of anatomy and physiology in relation to vocal production. Acting improvisations and poetry direct the actor to greater expression. Note: This course is repeatable for a maximum of 6 credits.
