A study of nervous-system function at the cellular and organismic level. Topics include mechanisms underlying electrical activity in nerve cells and synapses, transduction and integration of sensory information, action of certain drugs and neurotoxic agents, activity in population of neurons, trophic and plastic properties of nerve cells and neural systems analysis.
Prerequisite: Prerequisite: BIOL 305 or consent of instructor.
