PSYC 676 - Human Factors[3] This course will provide an introduction to the psychological principles that are most useful for designers and human factors psychologists. Specifically, this course will address human motor, visual, auditory, and cognitive capabilities and limitations and their implications for the design of human-machine systems and training. Students will obtain a deeper understanding of how these human capabilities and limitations (i.e., memory, workload, attention) impact usability and human performance and subsequently carry out projects to gain practical experience applying human factors principles and evaluation methods to real-world design problems.
