PUBL 602 - Microeconomics for Public Policy

This course provides an analytic framework for policy analysis with a focus on understanding economic markets and mitigating market failures. Students will learn to apply economic theory to policy problems, identify sources of market failure, and design policy interventions with consideration of efficiency and equity as policy criteria. The capacity for government intervention will be explored through economic models of bureaucracy and provision of public goods.
