CMSC 103 - Scientific Computing(4.00) An introduction to computers and programming. This course is intended for students who will major in scientific disciplines other than computer science. The course emphasizes scientific applications and uses the FORTRAN programming language. The elements of FORTRAN covered in this course include assignment statements ,input/output statements, control structures, repetition structures, sub-routines, functions, arrays and files. This course also covers general programming concepts, including computer components, structured programming, algorithm development, problem-solving, testing, debugging and documentation.
