Topics to be covered include: the theory and importance of investment in education and training; measuring the rate of return to education; racial and sexual discrimination; poverty and the distribution of income; analyzing the effectiveness of the American educational system; recent innovations in the organization of education; and issues in the financing of primary, secondary and higher education.
