ECON 479-Venture Capital and Capital Market Imperfections(3.00) Study of asymmetric information makes raising financing in traditional capital markets difficult for some types of firms, and how venture capital overcomes these difficulties. Topics include theoretical models of asymmetric in capital markets, empirical analyses of how venture capitalists structure and monitor their investments, the performance of firms backed by venture capital, and how venture capitalists exit their investments.
