EDUC 446 - Language, Literacy, and Intellectual Development of Young Children

This course will focus on the ongoing relationship among the communication skills (listening, speaking, writing and reading) within young children’s lives in their families, educational settings and communities. Teacher candidates will study children’s development of language and literacy within diverse economic, ethnic and language contexts to better understand and appreciate their role in children’s early language and literacy development.
