ENGL 483-Writing in the Sciences(3.00) This course examines scientific writing. Offered with an electronic communication across the curriculum focus, students will hone science writing style and form. Among the texts we will investigate and practice are professional science articles, proposals, abstracts, reports and literature reviews. Students will collect, analyze, and report data on topics ranging from climactic changes, pollution, and deforestation to disease control, genetic research, scientific ethics and medicine.
