Topics covered include Kievan Russia, the rise of Muscovy, the reforms of Peter the Great, the evolution of society under Peter’s successors, the “golden age” of Russian culture and industrialization, and the development of the revolutionary movement. Recommended Preparation: HIST 100 or HIST 110  or HIST 111 , plus junior/senior status .
