MATH 487 - Continuous Dynamical Systems(3.00) This course aims to develop an understanding of the theory behind the rich qualitative behavior of dynamical systems modeled by ordinary differential equations. Topics covered includes existence and uniqueness of solutions, linear systems, characterization of behavior near equilibria, stability and Lyapunov functions, Hartman- Grobman theorem, Poincaré-Bendixson theorem, Hamiltonian systems, bifurcations and chaos.
