MUSC 173 - Introduction to Choral Singing

Introduction to basic sight-singing skills to develop an understanding of how to read choral music. Develop rudimentary musicianship skills, including melodic notation and its application to the keyboard. Traditional hymns will be used to develop this skill. The skills developed in this course will enhance the opportunity to participate in the UMBC choral ensembles in the music department. This course is repeatable for credit.
