Concepts of pressure, density, thermodynamics and radiative energy balance. Atmospheric motions and major circulations. Major chemical cycles in the atmosphere and elementary atmospheric chemical reactions. Modifications of the atmospheric chemical structure - the greenhouse effect, acid rain and toxic chemicals. Air pollution meteorology.
