PSYC 230H - Psychology and Culture - Honors(3.00) Building on students’ familiarity (from PSYC 100 ) with basic concepts and research methods in contemporary American psychology, this course explores the ways in which these ideas are related to cultural variation, both internationally and within the United States. The findings of cross-cultural research are examined in four major fields of psychology: cognitive, develop- mental, personality and social. Implications are considered for interpretation of personal experience and for applications of psychology in professional practice and public policy.
