SOWK 372 - Social Work and Health Care(3.00) This course examines social work skills and interdisciplinary practice used in health-care settings. A generalist practice model that is based on the needs of people with health care problems, the nature of the health-care organizations, and the use of social workers as health-care professional is explored. Students examine crisis intervention that uses interdisciplinary techniques, case management, and discharge planning, all in the context of the nation’s health-care environment.
