CHEM 437L - Biochemistry Laboratory[4] Modern methods of biochemical research. Laboratory experiments are designed to provide experience in working with biologically active materials and familiarity with standard biochemical techniques. These include spectrophotometry; chromatography; isotope tracer techniques; ultra-centrifugation; enzyme kinetics; isolation, purification and characterization of proteins; nucleic acids and subcellular organelles. Two laboratory sessions per week. When Offered: (Fall) Prerequisite: CHEM 352L. Corequisite: CHEM 437 and consent of the instructor.
