ENCH 670 - Chemical and Environmental Modeling

In this course, students will become familiar with writing and running computer programs in Python. As students learn fundamental skills in computer programming, they will write and apply programs to model chemical phenomena from chemical plants to human bodies to the environment, by solving systems of differential equations. Students will also learn the basics of data science, machine learning, and data visualization to find hidden patterns in large datasets relevant to the chemical sciences. ​Prior programming experience is not required. 

 
Prerequisite: Differential equations (ENCH 620 or MATH 225 / 404 / 441)
