PHIL 358H - Bioethics (3) A survey of the ethical constraints on the practice of medicine, on biomedical research using human and nonhuman animals, and on the delivery of health care. Specific topics will include doctor-patient confidentiality; autonomy, competence and medical decision-making; ethical issues at the beginning and end of human life; and controversial biomedical technologies such as cloning and stem cell research Recommended Preparation: PHIL 150 , PHIL 152 , PBHL 350 .
