SOWK 376 - Intimate Partner Violence, A Social Work Perspective (3) Intimate partner violence (IPV) is a social and public health problem that impacts millions of people around the globe. Although efforts have been made to end IPV, it has persisted over time. This course introduces students to basic concepts of IPV, theories used to understand it, as well as systems involved in addressing it. The goal is to help students think critically about the factors that perpetuate IPV. Recommended Preparation: SOWK 250 .
