BTEC 656 - Experimental Design in Biotechnology

BTEC 656 is a seminar-style course that is an in-depth exploration of prevailing methods and techniques used in biotechnology experimental design. The course focuses on the examination and critical evaluation of common practices used in setting up experimental protocols, and the types of statistical techniques used to draw inferences from experimental results. Literature research expands and deepens the student’s understanding of key fields within the biotechnology area, and allows the student to gain more in-depth knowledge on subjects that are relevant to their careers. Oral presentation and written papers help to refine the student’s communications skills. BTEC 656 is a required course of the MPS: Biotechnology.
