COMP 101 - Computational Thinking and Design (4) Broad survey of the power, challenges, and specialties of computing fields. Topics include algorithmic problem solving, the design and development of computing solutions, human-centered computing, graphics and games, data management and exploration, hardware and systems, intelligent solutions, and academic and professional skills. Assumes no prior experience with computing. Restricted to those declared or considering a computing major (BTA, IS, CMSC, and CMPE). Intended to be taken in the first or second semester.
