SOWK 377 - Women and Social Policy (3) This course explores the impact of social welfare programs and policies upon women’s lives, examines the assumptions and values that have gone into the formulation of these policies, and discusses alternative approaches to dealing with women’s concerns. Topics include economic circumstances, women and violence, traditional and alternative social services, and agendas for reform.
