EDUC 664 - Methods of Teaching Secondary Social Science Credits: [3]
Description: This course seeks to introduce participants to the concepts, issues and methods relevant to teaching social studies at the secondary level. Teacher candidates will gain conceptual knowledge and practical experience with planning, materials development, instructional approaches and assessment use in multiple-ability classrooms. The course also provides participants with an introduction to various audio-visual and computer technologies for use in curricular planning and instruction. Field experiences are required in this course.
