Description: This core course for the biochemistry program covers advanced topics in molecular biology and genetics, taught principally from current primary literature. A combination of lectures and student-directed seminars address recent developments in DNA/RNA metabolism and regulation of gene expression, while additional sessions explore genetics and molecular contributions to control of cellular function and disease.
