IS 757 - Deep Learning

Credits: [3]
Description: This course is an introduction to deep learning, a subset of machine learning, concerned with the development and application of modern neural networks. In this course, students will learn about the theory and application of deep learning. We will cover a range of topics from basic Neural Networks, Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and Recurrent Neural Network (RNN), Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN), and deep unsupervised learning. Besides, the students will learn how to apply the deep learning methods to solve real-world problems in several areas including computer vision, remote sensing, medical, language, and AI for social good applications and develop the insight necessary to use the tools and techniques to solve any new real-world problem.
