AMST 420 - Seminar in Global America (3)


Advance study of a specific topic in Global America: The U.S. in the World, The World in the United States. Courses in this category explore the relationships of America with other countries and cultures, including globalization, migrations, immigration, diasporic experiences in America, and transnational cultures. The seminar is designed to develop research and analytical skills specific to this area, and students will have the opportunity to do original research. Topics will be published in the Schedule of Classes. This course is repeatable for credit with different topic. Students may complete a maximum of 6 credits. Recommended Preparation: Six credits in American Studies courses, three at the upper level.
