CHEM 461 - Advanced Instrumental Methods of Analysis (4) A lecture-laboratory course covering the theory, instrumentation and applications of modern instrumental techniques. Advantages and limitations of different instrumental methods are discussed using selected topics of environmental, pharmacological and toxicological analysis. Laboratory experiments include polarography and pulse voltammetry, anodic stripping analysis, potentiometry with ion-selective electrodes, flame and electrothermal atomic absorption, UV-VIS spectrophotometry, capillary gas chromatography and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
