CHEM 437L - Biochemistry Laboratory (4) Modern methods of biochemical research. Laboratory experiments are designed to provide experience in working with biologically active materials and familiarity with standard biochemical techniques. These include spectrophotometry; chromatography; isotope tracer techniques; ultra-centrifugation; enzyme kinetics; and isolation, purification and characterization of proteins, nucleic acids and subcellular organelles. Two laboratory sessions per week.
