COMP 101 - Computational Thinking and Design (3) This course is an introduction to programming that covers recent developments and upcoming challenges in the computing field. Topics discussed include computational problem solving, program design and development, data management and exploration, hardware and systems, digital storytelling, and socially responsible computing. No prior coding experience is necessary. Note: This course is intended for first or second semester students considering computing, transfer students new to computing, and continuing students interested in the topics listed above. COMP 101 should not be taken concurrent with, or subsequent to, IS 125 , IS 147 , or CMSC 201 . (Fall/Spring)
