GES 386 - Introduction to Geographic Information Systems (4) An overview of the essential characteristics, development and application of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Students will become familiar with the specialized concepts and methods related to the compilation and manipulation of spatial data, and they will apply those concepts and methods in a laboratory setting.
