HIST 365 - War in the Modern World (3)


This course will examine the evolution of modern European warfare from the Middle Ages up to the First World War. The class will focus on connections between the evolution of warfare (e.g. weapons, equipment, tactics) and social, political and economic development; dominant or repeating trends in modern warfare; and connections between warfare and science and technology. Recommended Preparation: 100 or 200 level SS course.
