PHIL 146 - Critical Thinking (3) An introduction to the basic concepts and principles of reasoning. Topics include the analysis and evaluation of the logical structure of arguments, the meaning and functions of words in arguments, and the detection of fallacious or deceptive patterns of thinking. The course is intended to develop skill in responding critically to incorrect reasoning in everyday discourse.
