PHYS 111 - Basic Physics I (4) This first-semester introductory algebra-based physics course is intended for those majoring in the life sciences and others for whom basic knowledge of physics is helpful or desired. Topics include kinematics, dynamics, energy, simple harmonic motion, thermal physics, and fluid physics. This course consists of lectures and labs. Recommended Preparation: High school mathematics, including trigonometry. Note: This course satisfies the minimum requirements of medical and dental schools.
