THTR 371 - Playwriting (3)

A creative writing course where students develop the skills essential to the discipline of dramatic writing. Special attention is given to understanding dramatic form and structure. Students learn the process of playwriting while completing several short plays and learning to effectively critique dramatic texts. This course is repeatable for credit. Students may complete a maximum of 9 credits. Recommended Preparation: Any 200-level literature course and permission of the instructor.
