THTR 434 - Patterning and Draping (3) This course teaches students how to make patterns for theatrical costumes. Students will learn how to manipulate fabric on a three-dimensional form, appreciate the importance of the grain of fabric in relation to the design, develop a sense of proportion and the placement of style lines, create basic patterns from foundation shapes, and learn the basics of fitting garments to the human form. This course is repeatable for credit. Students may complete a maximum of 6 credits or 2 attempts.
