MUSC 338 - Survey of Jazz (3)

MUSC 338 Survey of Jazz provides an overview of one of the first truly American musical genres. The course traces the stylistic evolution of jazz through the study of its most influential figures. We will examine a variety of different vantage points from which to listen to, and critique, jazz. Note: Open to jazz studies majors only.
