MUSC 140 - Teaching Elementary School Choral Singing (1)

This course provides an introduction to choral teaching for elementary school aged children. Students will learn culturally relevant approaches to building music literacy skills through performing, responding, creating, and connecting in the choral classroom. Students gain foundational skills in integrating musical, social-emotional, and social justice learning goals in developmentally appropriate choral lessons for elementary school students. Students will enroll in PRAC 096 and participate in a school-based service-learning practicum.
