EDHS 460 - Applied Pharmacology (3) EDHS 460, Applied Pharmacology, introduces students to the fundamentals of prehospital medication administration. We will explore the principles of pharmacology, medication administration, medical calculations, and the various classification of medications. Additionally, we will discuss medications given by paramedics in an emergency that they may encounter in the hospital or during a transfer and medications that patients may be on for chronic illnesses. Recommended Preparation: EMT with at least 100 patient contacts as an EMT. (Fall)
