ARCH 365 - Experimental Archaeology of the Global Ancient and Medieval Eras (3) An introduction to the methodologies of experimental archaeology, the process of using physical projects and activities to address research questions about the past. Students will discuss the role of class, race, gender, capitalism, and other social contexts informing the way modern historians address and incorporate material culture, performance, and labor into their accounts of the ancient and medieval periods. Recommended Preparation: Any one course in ANCS, Music History, HIST, or ART with a history component. (Summer)
