UNIV 201 - Second-Year Seminar (1) The purpose of this course is to help students in transition during their second year on campus at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). Students will build on and advance the knowledge and skills essential to thrive at a research university. Students will connect their academic discipline and future career plans, advance their professional development and leadership skills, and explore and plan for graduate school and/or industry opportunities. Students in the course will also enhance their connections to faculty, staff, and peers within their academic discipline and across the larger campus community. Topics will be published in the Schedule of Classes. Recommended Preparation: UNIV 101 . (Fall/Spring)
