Description: This course is part of a series of graduate level computer science application courses designed primarily for secondary teachers working to earn the Master of Arts in Education degree with a focus on computer science education. Participants are introduced to advanced programming by learning the fundamentals of object-oriented programming. Exploration of pedagogy of teaching programming and hand-on practices will figure prominently throughout this course so that participants can experience firsthand knowledge of the power of object-oriented programming and how to teach the material.
