This course examines the intersections between people and the physical environment and explores global interconnections among places and regions related to a variety of social and environmental processes: imperialism and colonization, demographic change, migration and diaspora, climate change, environmental justice, culture and identity, geopolitics and citizenship, international divisions of labor, economic development, food systems, and urbanization.
