PPEL 250 - Introduction to Philosophy, Politics, Economics, and Law (3) This course is an introduction to the interdisciplinary study of political economy. Students are introduced to analytical frameworks drawn from Philosophy, Political Science, and Economics, and study one or more topics of contemporary social concern by drawing on these different disciplinary frameworks. Attention is also given to the common historical roots of these disciplinary frameworks in figures such as Thomas Hobbes and Adam Smith.
