AMST 300 - Approaches in American Studies(3.00) This course introduces students to the interdisciplinary methodological approaches, research practices, and conceptual frameworks of the field of American Studies.The course will examine the historical development of theories and methods in the field, and survey selected interdisciplinary methods and research practices. Students will engage in research and writing exercises designed to develop practical research skills and the ability to apply a range of methods and concepts to the study of American society and culture.
