M.P.S.: Community Leadership
The Community Leadership program at UMBC is designed to prepare aspiring leaders with the skills and experience needed to enact transformative social change. The program emphasizes highly applied coursework, relationship building, and hands-on practical experiences which are essential components for developing strong leadership skills. The track seeks to balance the essential elements of an MBA with matters of social justice and civic concern.
P.B.C.: Community Leadership
In addition to the M.P.S., there is a 15 credit Post-Baccalaureate Certificate (PBC) option, which requires successful completion of four courses. The PBC is intended for students who due to time or financial reasons are unable to enroll in the full Master’s program, but still want to gain some education in community leadership.
A bachelor’s degree
GRE scores are not required for admission
Applicants should have a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
Applicants should have at least two years work experience

Community Leadership is an applied, professional degree and as such does not offer research-based assistantships. However, students are eligible to apply for non-research based graduate assistantships offered through other academic departments.
