Program Description

The M.P.S. is designed to prepare clinicians, computer scientists, information systems, health administration and public policy and other professionals to fulfill positions in the health IT and informatics field. Multidisciplinary coursework blends practical management oriented courses with more technically focused courses, allowing students to develop a formal graduate education program that best meets their individual career development needs, as well as to prepare health professionals to fulfill positions in healthcare technology management.

Program Admission Requirements

All applicants are required to submit:

  • Transcripts from all colleges and universities attended and proof of a bachelor’s degree
    • An undergraduate degree in Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Health Education, or a degree related to healthcare professional practice or healthcare management is recommended. However, degrees from other fields may be acceptable given relevant work experience in the healthcare operations field.
  • Applicants should have a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0 on 4.0 scale.
  • GRE scores are not required.
  • A current resume/CV
  • A personal statement outlining their goals and expectations in the program

In addition, for International Applicants:

  • At least two (2) letters of recommendation from academic or professional references 
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) Scores: Minimum scores 99 (Internet Based test-iBT). Scores must be no more than 2 years old.
    • iBT Scores Breakdown: Writing (23), Listening (23), Reading (25), Speaking (28, 23 acceptable if have 2 years’ work experience in supervisory or management positions in the U.S.). OR
  • IELTS: Minimum Score 7.0. OR
  • Duolingo English Test: Minimum Score 120

Financial Assistance
