Program Description

The Department of Emergency Health Services at UMBC offers a graduate program leading to a Master of Science degree. This degree incorporates offerings from several university departments at both UMBC and UMB. The program offers two Master’s degree tracks: (1) administration, planning and policy; (2) preventive medicine and epidemiology; and (3) an education concentration in connection with either degree track. (The full EHS education track will be available for Spring 2024 applications)

The department also offers a graduate certificate program in emergency management. Available as a fully online, distance education program or as an on-campus/hybrid program, the EHS degree sequence is designed to fit the needs of both part-time and full-time students.
