Degree Requirements
A Master of Science in Applied Molecular Biology will be awarded upon completion of the courses listed below. In addition to the lecture and laboratory courses, all students will submit a scholarly paper (APMB 798) and pass a written comprehensive examination, requirements of the UMBC Graduate School for non-thesis programs. Students will be dismissed from the program if they receive a “D” or “F” in either of the two required laboratory courses (BIOL 635L and BIOL 636L).
Note:
UMBC undergraduates who have earned a B or better in the above lecture courses can count up to 12 of these credits toward the APMB M.S. degree.
