Theatre, B.A. - Design & Production Track

For the Design & Production Track, students must complete the following Department requirements. All courses submitted by a student in fulfillment of the B.A. in Theatre must be completed with a grade of “C” or better.

All BA Theatre majors must complete the core requirements of the major in addition to the track requirements below.

Design & Production Track (21 Credits)

One of the following:
THTR 230 - Drawing for the Theatre (3.00)
THTR 231 - Drafting for the Theatre (3.00)

Design Foundation (6 credits)

Advanced Design (3 credits)

One of the following:
THTR 332 - Advanced Scene Design (3.00)
THTR 335 - Advanced Lighting Design (3.00)
THTR 336 - Advanced Costume Design (3.00)
THTR 337 - Advanced Sound Design (3.00)

Upper Division Electives (6-7 credits)

Two of the following:
THTR 306 - Fashion, Costume, and Society (3.00)

Production Requirement

As part of their final four semesters, all BA Theatre majors in the Design & Production Track must complete three semesters of production coursework. These may be fulfilled with any of the following:

THTR 339 - Advanced Production Techniques (1.00 - 3.00)
THTR 390 - Theatre in Production (3.00)
THTR 439 - Advanced Design Techniques (1.00 - 3.00)
THTR 490 - Production Workshop (3.00)
